130 Arizonans Will Die From Skin Cancer This Year!

Act responsibly and take precautions for yourself and your children. Anyone can get skin cancer—the main cause is overexposure to sunlight.

  • Avoid being outside from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, especially in the summer.
  • Wear protective clothing; lightweight, light-colored clothing that covers exposed skin, including wide-brimmed hats, is best.
  • Wear adequate sunscreen, and reapply frequently. SPF 15, 30 or 45 should be applied every hour whether or not you will be sweating or getting wet.

Don’t be fooled! Sunlamps, tanning parlors and tanning pills are just as harmful as the sun.
